Standard Poodles are Awesome

We got Brantley a year and a half ago. I wasn't sure what to expect of his personality. You know...poodles are such foo-foo dogs and all. WRONG!!! He is such a wonderful addition to our family, I don't know why we didn't know about this a long time ago. He may just be the happiest dog I've ever seen. Let's play! No wait...let's wrestle!! Oh wait, let's cuddle for a while (I'm really just a lap dog you know). I'll play with my toys for awhile, then we can go outside to play some more!
He is now our company icon www.30A-BeachRentals.com because he is so easy for people to remember. They may not remember my wife or myself, but our dogs (we also have a Welsh Corgi) are unforgettable.

Isn't it funny how some folks get so excited over Halloween? Then there are those who close up the house and turn off the lights to avoid it completely. Monster movie marathons, costume parties, scaring the holy bejeebers out of a friend and trick or treat! Haunted houses, apple cider, toilet paper in trees, caramel apples all add to the atmosphere of fun. Why isn't this a national holiday? A day off from work to prepare for a night of fun...now THAT'S a campaign platform I could embrace! Halloween is about the fun. Nothing somber here. If only we could arrange the date to coincide with the full moon.

Chinese Scooters

While researching scooters to buy, we kept hearing the same thing over and over: don't buy Chinese made scooters. Prices were bringing us back to them but paranoia wouldn't allow us to buy. We came across a pair of brand new SUNL 150cc scooters that seemed great but alas...Chinese. Then the web site http://www.scootdawg.com/ gave us some wonderful information about dealing with the lack of quality control that tarnishes the image of Chinese scooters. If you replace the sub-standard fuel lines and vacuum lines, petcock, gas filter, spark plug, etc. and tighten all screws, nuts and bolts before putting too many miles/hours on the scooter you'll have few problems. I followed this advice, bought the 2 SUNLs and we are really enjoying them. The 85 miles per gallon they get makes them more useful than ever. Inexpensive transportation and a lot of fun to ride. For the first time ever, I saw a punter kick the ball straight up in the air...straight up! He stepped back to see it and the ball hit the ground, then bounced directly back into the punter's hands. The ball was down right there. The team lost about 10 yards without the opposing team touching the ball or a ball carrier.
